I tried a couple of times to install synfig and given the fact that I couldn't I felt it was a sign that I wasn't ready for the developer's preview.
it looks really nice and I'd love to help the project out but I just recently finished my “Hello World” program in C++ so I guess it'll be a while before I can dedicate myself to some project like this one.
so anyways, give me the head's up if you can

A free alternative to Flash i thought. Worth a try. There are many things i like better about Synfig. But most of all no more manual tweening. Rejoice! Unfortuanately, i can't seem to get my version to render my animations. this might be the program's fault but probably more likely mine. any advice?

Hello

I'm working on a series of 5 books in Dutch (for easycomputing, a Belgian publisher - that's why my English is not that good). They are meant for kids. One book will handle computeranimation. Because I only want to include "open source"tools I started looking for open source animationtools.
I downloaded Synfig for Windows after installing GTK. Now I'm struggling with a “dll-hell”. The application tells me that it doesn't find “libsynfig-0.dll”. One of my computers runs on Ubuntu... so installing Synfig on that system wouldn't be a problem. But most of my readers are Windowsusers and it would be nice if there was a (beta) Windowsbinary without those dll-problems. A book on Synfig would be very nice, I guess? Anyone who can help me?
