Wow, that is cool. There doesn't seem to be any source code on that page. If someone were to write a patch based on the paper, it would definately be included.

kieran: this is not a support forum, please post on the support requests tracker, the users list or the irc channel.
That said, try the wiki and the download page for fixes not yet in a release. Also, google for “smart questions”.

Will synfig be a participating mentoring organization in the google summer of code 2006? If so, when will there be ideas posted on the google participating mentoring organization links?
Tuesday, April 18, 2006
w00t!
Synfig should definitely be in Goog's SOC 06... that'd be a great way to get some work done.
Tuesday, April 18, 2006
Sounds like a great idea! I'll look into what needs to be done.
Friday, April 21, 2006
Google's closing off Mentor Organization signups on Monday May 5th... so get your application in before then!

Hi,
Sorry to post this here, but I've tried joining and posting to the user list to no avail.
I've downloaded and installed synfig and the GTK on my XP. I had the noted problem of inability to find the dlls. I added the GTK location path info, but I still get the same error. I'd love to try this out. Is there anything else I can try to get it working on my system? Thanks,
Matt Jordan

as 0.61.01 seems to be the last release working on mac os x, i tried to compile it but always got strange messages like “makefile not found”, although i executed bootstrap and configure. make check returned
====================
1 of 11 tests failedmake[2]: * [check-TESTS] Error 1 make[1]: [check-am] Error 2 make: ** [check-recursive] Error 1
i'm not very experienced in compiling from source and i would appreciate if anyone was able to offer me a link to a 0.61.01 mac binary

felix: we don't have a maintainer for MacOS, so we can't produce Mac binaries yet. At the moment this is delaying the release. One user is working on producing an app-bundle, hopefully that will be available soon for users to test.
Also, please come join us on IRC or the mailing lists:

I was having quite a bit of difficulty getting files into the browser to work from a design I had formulated for a character... So my question is this because I am working in my XP environment, should I just switch environments and install on my FC6 system??? When I found this app my heart jumped out of me!!! I wanna get going... have a lot of projects at hand for animation. Any reply appreciated. Dragon-silk
