Gtk+ Native MacOS X

Finally some brave soul has taken on the task that so many have abandoned... Gtk+ has now been natively ported to MacOS X! This means that you can expect a native MacOS X version of Synfig Studio at some point soon after I release it.

Speaking of releases, expect Synfig to be released <s>next week</s> by the end of the month*. It may be a little bit of time before the native MacOS X version is ready, but it will happen.

(*) I've changed my moving schedule around so this makes things a bit more uncertain.

UPDATE: Argh! This weekend was a bit of a loss as far as Synfig is concerned. I spent the weekend sick and putting together Ikea furniture. I think I'm just going to tar up what I have on Subversion right now, as I believe it should work with GCC 4.0 on linux but I have been unable to test it. (I only have GCC 4.0 on my Macintosh computers) I'll update later today about this.

This time I have confirmed that this version will build with GCC 4 on Debian. I can only assume that if there are issues on other distributions or platforms, that it is not related to GCC 4. Other than that, there isn't too much new in this build. I figured I was sitting on the GCC 4 fix in subversion long enough. Grab it from the download page. Win32 and MacOSX binaries are also available.

My role will be to filter, fix and feed bug fixes and patches from the user community into the subversion repository. Since I am a newbie when it comes to animation, your feedback is important for me. I also only use Linux/Windows, so I'll rely on others to test the MacOS builds. I should be able to find OSX build machines though.
For those who don't know me, I've been involved in Synfig since I started packaging it for debian. Mainly I helped work out some compilation and copyright issues.
